What's on in Haddington
Haddington Tourist Office
The new season will start on Wednesday, 27th April 2011, in Lady Kitty’s Doocot. The opening hours are from 10.00 am until 4.00 pm Wednesday until Friday. At this moment in time there will be no Saturday openings. This will be our last year in the Doocot as we will be moving to the new John Gray Centre in Lodge Street. We believe it will be opening in February 2012 which will be quite exciting as we believe the centre will be open seven days a week. We are still looking for volunteers and if you would like to help out you can contact me, Jan Wilson, on 01620-82-4816 or email me at janwilse3647-at-tiscali.co.uk (please replace –at- with @. This is present for spam prevention)
The Centre was instigated and organised by the Royal Burgh of Haddington & District Community Council.
The Haddington Handbook: This is a yearly handbook created and edited by Haddington Community Council with interesting articles and a comprehensive directory of organisations and local contact numbers for doctors, library service and a list of your serving Community Councillors.
We are looking for volunteers to help deliver the handbook throughout our town. If you can help deliver the handbook to your street, please contact Jan Wilson, 01620-82-4816 or email her at janwilse3647@tiscali.co.uk. Jan has a list of the entire street network of Haddington to assist with this process.
The handbook is edited by our former colleague and past chairman Bob Mitchell, 01620-82-2029 or you can email him at bobmitchell6@tiscali.co.uk
