6.7 Salt Bins: Colvin
asked if there was a set ratio of bins/houses for the provision of salt
bins. He has noticed that the area at
Nungate Gardens have 6 bins for 60 houses, where some areas of the town have
very few or none at all and the ones that are there are very often empty of
salt and full of rubbish. Jan suggested
that it would be good idea for the council to check on all the bins around the
town. Nico said he has already called
the council some time ago about the one that used to be outside the
Maitlandfield – this has still not been replaced. Emily said that Glebe Cres in Athelstaneford was very slippery
and needs a salt bin. Action SR
6.8 Monkmains 30mph sign: Colvin asked if the CC would support the conservation

13.7 Lock-up: it was suggested we hire a skip so the lock-up can be cleared and tidied up. It was agreed that a date be set for this to happen and a skip hired. Jan asked Sheena if the architects’ storage cabinets were wanted by the council as they take up a lot of space. Sheena will check on this. Action SR
